Unique tour arriving at Heathrow Terminal 3 and leaving from Schiphol airport in Holland. This Across four countries tour explores Southern England through the counties of Oxford, Cornwall and Devon just to name a few.
Ferry across the English Channel to Northern France before traveling along the coast in sight of the Channel Islands, specifically Jersey Isle. Then tracking East through some of the beautiful medieval towns of central France, across the wine regions of France visiting vineyards, small villages, towns and great Chateaux. Then enjoy a cool drink on the patio overlooking the still waters of rivers Yonne and Semois during our unique and private travels.
Driving along country roads we find natural sightseeing locations yet stopping at preferred locations for lunch. This memorable trip will take you to cross borders to enter Belgium and the Ardennes forest spending time in this tree’d and hill sweep region before turning North to the French city of Lille, famous for its cakes before arriving in Holland and the canals of Amsterdam from where you return to Australia having experienced a memorable Europe Driving Holiday.

Day 1
Personal air flight from Australia to U.K.
Day 2
Arrival at London’s Heathrow Airport, where we are wait to meet and greet. Leaving the air terminal we drive to Windsor , location of the renown Windsor Castle where we book into our overnight accommodation. From here you can either rest after the long flight or explore the town and region.

Day 3
Windsor is a town on the River Thames in southeast England, just west of London. It’s home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs. Public tours take in the State Apartments, which contain opulent furnishings, and paintings from the royal art collection. A visit to the River Thames with an option to take a river cruise.

Day 4
Leaving Windsor we travel East to the Spa town of Bath, exploring the English countryside and the town centre on our arrival. Bath is a town set in the rolling countryside of southwest England, known for its natural hot springs and 18th-century Georgian architecture. Honey-coloured Bath stone has been used extensively in the town’s architecture, including at Bath Abbey, noted for its fan-vaulting, tower and large stained-glass windows. The museum at the site of the original Roman-era Baths includes The Great Bath, statues and a temple.

Day 5
Heading South East we drive through the counties of Devon and Cornwall across Dartmoor arriving at over night accommodation in Newquay.
Newquay is a town on the north coast of Cornwall, in southwest England. It’s known for sandy Fistral and Watergate Bay beaches, where waves from the Atlantic Ocean create strong surf. Visiting St Ives other local seaside spots in the region including the option of a day trip to the Isles of Scilly.

Day 6
Newquay, Cornwall is in a county on England’s rugged southwestern tip. It forms a peninsula encompassing wild moorland and hundreds of sandy beaches, culminating at the promontory Land’s End. The south coast, dubbed the Cornish Riviera, is home to picturesque harbour villages such as Fowey and Falmouth. The north coast is lined with towering cliffs and seaside resorts like Newquay, known for surfing.

Day 7
Port Isaac is a small fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The nearest towns are Wadebridge and Camelford, both ten miles away. Port Gaverne, commonly mistaken to be part of Port Isaac, is a nearby hamlet that has its own history.

Day 8
Leaving Cornwall we drive along the coast past Exeter and Dorchester to the picturess town of Poole being a coastal town in Dorset, southern England, known for its large natural harbour and sandy beaches. The Old Town has Georgian houses and Poole Museum, which explores local history in 4 buildings, including medieval Scaplen’s Court. From Poole Harbour, boats head south to Brownsea Island. This wooded area has trails and wildlife such as red squirrels, plus 16th-century Brownsea Castle, now a private hotel.

Day 9
Today we make our way to Ferry terminal, boarding the vessel for a 4.5hr trip across the English Channel. Our port of destination is Cherbourg in France, leaving the vessel we drive through the Northern France countryside including through the famous bocage country that hampered Allied forces in WW2 and onward past the Marais du Cotentin region to our destination for the evening of St. Germain-sur-Ay.

Day 10
Our trip today takes us across the French countryside via Saint Lo and the Falaise Gap through the Normandie National Park to Le Mans. The city is in northwestern France, it’s known for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum, which chronicles the history of the city’s famed 24 Hours of Le Mans motor race. The Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans race track, offers simulator rides and amateur go-karting. In the old town, the Gothic-style Le Mans Cathedral features stained-glass windows and flying buttresses. East is the 13th-century Royal Abbey of Epau.

Day 11
Travelling East across the Mid French countryside we past Orleans and the majestic Loire River before arriving at Auxerre a beautiful French town with twin Cathedrals nested on the banks of the Yonres river. Auxerre is the capital of the Yonne department and the fourth-largest city in Burgundy.

Using Auxerre as a base, today we explore the local regions of small farming villages stopping as desired.

Day 13
Dijon is the capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-making areas. It’s known for its traditional mustard, vineyard tours, autumn gastronomic fair and building styles ranging from Gothic to art deco. The distinguished 1787 Musée des Beaux-Arts, housed in the vast Palace of the Dukes, holds a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, crafts and antiquities. We visit the film set where the movie La Chocolat was made (see the movie pre visit) Dijon, is in easy reach of Nuit St George a well known wine center with the possibility of visiting off the beaten track wine makers.

Day 14
Leaving Dijon we make our way to Troyes, a town in the Grand Est region of northeastern France. Its medieval old town features narrow, cobbled streets lined with colorful, half-timbered houses, mostly dating from the 16th century. The town is home to several Gothic churches with striking stained-glass windows. These include the Troyes Cathedral, the Église Sainte-Madeleine and the Basilique Saint-Urbain.

Day 15
We cross country via Epinal is a historic town noted for its printing pedigree: There are workshops here that mass produced colourful woodcut and lithograph prints for hundreds of years. You’ll have a rare chance to see these old techniques in action at the Imagerie d’Épinal and browse a huge library of prints at the Musée de l’Image. We later arrive at Nancy, a riverfront city in the northeastern French region of Grand Est, is known for its late baroque and art nouveau landmarks, some dating to its days as the former capital of the Duchy of Lorraine. Its focal point is the 18th-century Place Stanislas. This grand square, decorated with gilded wrought-iron gates and rococo fountains, rests by the ornate palaces and churches filling the city’s medieval old town.

Day 16
Today we spent our day in a relax mode visiting the valley town of Bouillon with its mountain top castle, flower covered bridges and a leisurely kayak on the Semios River enjoying the tranquility of the forest region. There are ample hill side cafes and restaurants offering relaxing comfort while taking in the scenery before returning to our over night stop in Alle.

Day 17
Today we spent our day in a relax mode visiting the valley town of Bouillon with its mountain top castle, flower covered bridges and a leisurely kayak on the Semios River enjoying the tranquility of the forest region. Day 18
Heading North we cross the Belgium border into France near Sedan, an area that many battles through the ages have been fort due to its valley gap location within the impregnable regional landscape. We past and view a number of WW2 blockhouses and other memorabilia on the way across the vineyard and onto Reims renown as the Champagne capital of France. We plan a stop and tasting of the famous Champagne at the Joseph Perrier Winery.

Day 19
Lille we continue North West to the City of Lille, one of the jewels of France this town offers culinary delights along its cobbled streets and alleyways. Lille is the capital of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France, near the border with Belgium. A cultural hub and bustling university city today, it was once an important merchant center of French Flanders, and many Flemish influences remain. The historic center, Vieux Lille, is characterized by 17th-century brick townhouses, cobbled pedestrian streets and the large central square, Grand Place.

Day 20
Arriving in Amsterdam, we visit the canals, lunch on the water’s edge, coffee in Vreetown, a visit to the Austin Healey Museum before dinner and a optional night canal tour of Amsterdam city center. Visit an evening show after diner or head for bed

Day 21
Today we enjoy the wonders of Amsterdam’s old town which offers the central canal district at your feet, with the ‘Bridge’ opposite enabling a pleasant stroll along the busy streets. Take a ferry barge for a picturesque trip along the canals of this famous city walk the Rembrandt and Waterloo Squares. The afternoon is making our way to Schiphol airport for you to catch your onward flight to Australia after a memorable ‘across four country Europe Driving holiday.
