Small villages, café’s, mountainous Passes, countryside with vineyards, market towns and the Regional Capital of Switzerland and Italy – Geneva and Como with its fine shopping and lake locations.
Driving to Folkestone to board the Eurotunnel shuttle for the twenty minute sports car trip under the English Tunnel. Traveling across France into Belgium, we travel through the Ardennes forest where many Americans died holding up the last Axis advance on the Western front in WW2, visit Bouillon Castle and enjoy the scenic river.
To and from Menaggio we visit Bellagio, Verbania, Como in Italy; St Moritz, Alps Passes, Lugano in Switzerland. Returning via the medieval towns of Auxerre and Yvoire on the banks of Lake Geneva, visiting the cake city of Lille in France, Semois River in the Ardennes, Belgium. Free day opportunities include kayaking, hot air ballooning, horse riding and other activities alternatively a leisurely walks or read on the hotel patio on arrival each day. The scenery looking across the lakes and the changing sky as dusk falls is a wonder of the lakes in Italy making a memorable Italian luxury sports car holiday never to be forgotten.

This is a Group Sports Car tour designed for 8 or more vehicles with two persons per vehicle. Covering approximately up to 4000 kilometers, designed to give scenic variation, driving enjoyment, interesting visits, meeting of like-minded travelers, luxury accommodation with some meals to suit.
Day 1 Lille
From London drive south to the English Channel, we meet at the Shuttle terminal where we drive onto the train that takes us the twenty minutes under the Channel arriving in France for a clear drive across Northern France to the city of Lille being our first stop over. Visiting the city centre from our selected well placed hotel complete with free WIFI, a short stroll to the centre with its architecture, cafés medieval streets and cake shops is a delight.
Day 2 Alle
Today we drive across the border and into Belgium, driving through the green country along local roads which takes us across some of the well-known battle areas of WWI and WWII, then on to the 200km long Semois River where we arrive at our selected hotel offering free WIFI, swimming pool, bar, relaxed surroundings and providing local and International dining experiences yet nestled on the Semios River bank. This area dating to the second century and its German roots we spend time exploring the Bouillon Castle and town.
Day 3 Alle
Staying in Semois for a second night we spend the day exploring and visiting local hill top villages with their cafés and take a leisurely canoe/kayak with the current, down the winding scenic river, hopefully ducklings and signets will offer an unforgettable tranquil one on one with nature. Back to the hotel in time for a sundowner drink at the pool side and enjoyable meal in the area.
Day 4 – Rouffach
Leaving Belgium behind we track South through the forests with the remains and reminders of the Battle of the Ardennes of WWII. Heading to and through Verdun we arrive at the Massif du Ventron in the Basel region. Exploring and enjoying the local villages and towns on the drive, arriving with time to stroll through the wooded areas and take in the region with its green deciduous trees and rolling country side. Arriving at our Spa resort overnight stop, a stop the girls will enjoy as Spa and pampering services are available.
Day 5 St Moritz
We travel through Switzerland via Chur, the capital of the local region, having origins back to the Bronze and Iron Age, which is nestled on the banks of the Rhine River running at the bottom of the towering Alps. Driving via the Splugen or Albula Passes we arrive in the internationally known town of St Moritz with its central lake set in a natural bowl surrounded by trees on the sides of the Alps Mountains. There is time to sit and view the lake while waiting an evening meal after visiting some of the high end shops of this hill side Ski Town.
Day 6 Menaggio
The day takes us further South to Lake Como via the Splugen and Maloja pass, through to Menaggio set on the majestic Lake and offers Grand hotels with their ornately painted ceilings, Italian architecture and views of the Alps setting a backdrop that will draw you back again.
Day 7 Menaggio
Today being a free day we have time to enjoy the local town, ferry across the lake to Bellagio and Lenno or a leisurely trip ferry or drive to the fashion city of Como where you can explore the funicular railway to higher locations giving panoramic views of the Town with its many churches, gardens and Palaces. Time to wander the local shops that offer Italian fashions at its best. Returning for diner which can be on the terrace, watching the small boats coming and going, or visit some of the secluded restaurants the area has to offer.
Day 8 Verbania
From Lake Como we head to the Fashion centre of Lugano, straggling Lake Di Lugano before turning south and visiting Santa Caterine del Sasso on the way to Laveno. We drive onto the ferry for the trip across Lake Maggiore to our day’s destination of Verbania, the suggested hotel is well set on the Lake side and a short walk to the town centre with its cobble stone streets lined with shops for quality shopping and hidden restaurants with local cuisine.
Day 9 Verbania
Staying a second night in Verbania we can use the free day to visit via private ferry Isola Bella and Verbano Cusio Ossola which are on islands set in the Lake or visit Stresa on the opposite side of Lake Maggiore or just rest and relax in Verbania. Returning to our hotel to enjoy a cool drink on the Terrace after an interesting day on the Lake.
Day 10 Yvores
Leaving the mist shrouded lake we travel via the Simplon or Susten Passes amongst the towering snow covered Alps to Evian the French renowned bottled water and finally to our destination for two nights, a small medieval town set on the banks of Lake Geneva. The suggested hotel is set on the Lake side with magnificent views across the lake. Local cafés and restaurants abound, the cobbled streets stone buildings set around the local Castle with its splendid walled gardens makes this location a must visit.
Day 11
Staying the extra day in this Medieval town, free day option for the day include a possible trip on the glorious paddle steamer ferry into Geneva or Lausanne enjoying the Lake, sights, flowers, shopping or nightlife of this area. Then there is a drive to Chamonix to visit this Ski town and its sights of glaziers and Mont Blanc with their inspiring landscape before resting each night in your room overlooking the tranquil Lake.
Day 12
The day takes us through some stunning French countryside, North through the market town of Dole and on to the regional capital of Dijon with well-placed central hotels. This being the central wine region of France, we stop at either at wineries in Nuits St George or Corgoloin we will get a taste of the region’s wines and splendour, local villages, Beaune with its distinctive coloured roof tiles of the region, Dijon with the canal de Bourgogne passing through has a city centre to enjoy, Cathedrals and the well-known mustard and Beef Burgundy to taste before moving on.
Day 13
Continuing North across rolling countryside to Auxerre, a provincial town of France set on the River L’Yonne with its flower lined bridges and majestic Cathedral sitting high on the hill of this medieval town, with the buildings and Town centre setting a unique backdrop for a local last French diner before moving on the next day.
Day 14
Today is a direct drive through Northern France heading for Calais on the coast then the return under the English Channel on the Shuttle train back to England? Stopping in Kent at a typical English country Pub before returning your destination of choice.
