6 Days Touring the roads and sights of Tuscany.
Escorted Solo or small group road trip in prestige (Optional -sports) car from Florence Airport through countryside roads to the house chosen for our stay. Complete with swimming pool, set in the rural regions of Tuscany that we will call home for six days while exploring the region. Giving the options of tasting local wines, cooking one’s self, going to Italian cooking lessons or eating out.
The region offers lots of unique areas to visit each day. At a times to suit we drive to these and other interesting locations returning each afternoon. Tuscany is a region characterized by rugged hills, green valleys, ancient Tuscany hilltop villages and some of Italy’s greatest food and wine.
Savoir the culture and ambiance of this renowned region while wandering the small shops and local art displays, visit wine-making and sample the local wines that complement the Tuscany cuisine. Exploring the magical village Cinque Terre, discover Lucca, Sienne and Florence’s with its renaissance treasures, enjoy a leisurely walk through medieval towns and cook lunch with an Italian chef. This is a relaxing Tuscany holiday yet filling ones day with new adventures within the region, when driving country roads we stop at preferred locations for lunch or a picnic overlooking the valley’s and wineries, making this a memorable luxury touring holiday.

Day 1
Arriving at either Florence train Station or the airport we meet and collect you, taking you to the resort to unpack and rest after the flight if necessary. We spend the day exploring Florence as we do again on day 3. As it suits – we tour the enchanting city of Florence , experiencing the cuisine and history of central Italy. Florence’s museums, palaces, and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. Florence and its magnificent treasures await your visit!

Day 2
Heading inland through the Umbria and Toscana country side we arrive in Siena with its religious history where we walk the city with its scenic streets and enjoy our overnight hotel. Siena is likely Italy’s loveliest medieval city, and a visit worth making even if we are in Tuscany for just a few days. Siena’s heart is its central piazza known as Il Campo, known worldwide for the famous Palio run here, a horse race run around the piazza two times every summer. Movie audiences worldwide can see Siena and the Palio in the James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.

Day 3
Day3 After breakfast orThe most popular and important sites in Florence include the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, the Bargello, and the Accademia. The churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are veritable art galleries, and the library of San Lorenzo is a magnificent exhibition of Michelangelo’s architectural genius. Wander some of the oldest streets in the city until you reach the Arno River. Visit the vast and varied art collection housed in the Pitti Palace, when you grow weary of museums and monuments, head outdoors. Spend a day at the Boboli Gardens or climb the hill to the church of San Miniato al Monte to experience an enchanting view of Florence.

Day 4
Heading for the coastal region we travel to Pisa set in the flat lands, visiting the leaning tower before heading back to Florence and our hotel via the tourist town of Livorno set on the side of the Mediterranean Sea.
Pisa is famous for its Leaning Tower we visit this university town and the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles, where the tower, the cathedral and baptistery form the city’s main attraction. Around the square’s perimeter you’ll also find the Camposanto, Opera del Duomo museum and Museum of the Sinopie which we also highly recommend visiting. A few blocks away, the Piazza dei Cavalieri once the headquarters of the Knights of St. Stephen. Today, it is a center of culture and learning as the famous Scuola Normale di Pisa has its base in the Palazzo della Carovana that faces onto the piazza.

Day 5
Driving along the coast to the Cinque Terre region with its multi coloured fishing and regional villages built on steep hill sides creating a scenic sight. Wander the streets taking in the culture and life style of this old region where the struggle to reach villages and their reliance on the Mediterranean can be appreciated. The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is just in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. “The Five Lands” comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.

Day 6
We leave the resort for the last time and drive via the country roads to the Greve In Chianti region to experence the country life, wineries and cheeses from the area. After lunch we head for the Airport or Train Station for your departure from this trip of Tuscany.
