Day 1
Arriving at either London LHR or Paris CDG airports.
From London we drive south to the English Channel where we drive onto the train that takes us the twenty minutes under the Channel arriving in France for a clear drive across Northern France to the city of Lille being our first stop over. Visiting the city center from our selected well placed hotel complete with free WIFI, a short stroll to the center with its architecture, cafés medieval streets and cake shops is a delight. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Lille.

Day 2
We drive across the border through Belgium and into Germany, driving through the green country along local roads taking us to the German provincial city of Hamburg with its rich history straddling the Elba River. Overnight stop in a selected hotel offering free WIFI, swimming pool, bar, relaxed surroundings and providing local and International dining experiences. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Hamburg.

Day 3
Driving North towards Denmark, across the border stopping in Sonderborg for a well earn’t rest for the night. We spend some time exploring and driving through local villages with their cafés and local traditions. Back to the hotel in time for a sundowner drink at the pool side and enjoyable meal in the area. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Sonderborg

Day 4
Leaving Sonderborg and the shores of the Flensburg Fjord we drive through Denmark towards Aarhus on the northern coast line alongside the Mols Bjerge Nation Park on the side of the Kalo Vig. We enjoy a good traditional evening meal in the local restaurant and visit the local night life. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Aarhus Overnight: Hotel Royal (or similar)
Day 5
We are up early and travel through the top-end of Denmark, passing Aalborg which is situated on the Langerak water ways and on to Frederikshavn to meet the pre- booked ferry bound for the Capital of Norway – Oslo. We spend the day on board the vessel navigating the Skagerrak, through the outer and inner Oslofjord with its many islands and towering majestic sides. We arrive in Oslo making our way to the selected Hotel where a pleasant evening on the terrace finishes off an eventful first evening of three in OSLO. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Oslo

Day 6
A free day enables you to take you through Oslo and taking in the many unique sites including the Viking Ship Museum in the Norwegian capital with views of the Mountain ranges setting a backdrop that will draw you back in the future. A possible drive to Lillehammer if desired to visit the site of the 2000 Olympic Winter games. Free time in Oslo

Day 7
A short drive South to the Town of Drobak via Nordstrand with its views back across the Oslefjord through typical Norwegian villages before returning to the Capital with time to wander the local shops that offer Norwegian specialties. Diner can be on the terrace watching the small boats coming and going, or visit some of the secluded restaurants the area has to offer. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Oslo

Day 8
From Oslo we head East across the Swedish border and through the Lake District towards Karlstad set on lake Vanern we have the option of staying a second night in Karlstad to explore the lake and its timber areas. The selected hotel set on the lake side offers a peaceful surround of the central regions of Sweden. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Karlstad

Day 9
Continuing across the Swedish Lakelands taking numerous local roads to enjoy the scenic region we arrive at our select hotel in central Stockholm with the prospect of spending the next three nights in Stockholm and exploring the city and local regions. Returning to enjoy a cool drink on the Terrace after each interesting day exploring. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Stockholm

Day 10
A free day to explore the old city. Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic centre of Sweden. The region alone accounts for over a third of the country’s and is among the top 10 regions in Europe. It’s an important global city and the main center for business in the Nordic region. The city is home to some of Europe’s top ranking universities, such as the Karolinska Institute. Free time in Stockholm

Day 11
Free day in Stockholm hosts the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies and banquet at the Stockholm Concert Hall and Stockholm City Hall. One of the city’s most prized museums, the Vasa Museum, is the most visited non-art museum in Scandinavia. The Stockholm metro, opened in 1950, is well known for its decoration of the stations; it has been called the longest art gallery in the world and well worth a trip. Sweden’s national football arena is located north of the city centre, in Solna. Ericsson Globe, the national indoor arena, is in the southern part of the city. The city was the host of the 1912 Summer Olympics, and hosted the equestrian portion of the 1956 Summer Olympics. Free time in Stockholm

Day 12
Stockholm is located on Sweden’s south-central east coast, where the freshwater Lake Mälaren – Sweden’s third largest lake – flows out into the Baltic Sea. The central parts of the city consist of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago. The geographical city center is situated on the water, in Riddarfjärden bay. Over 30% of the city area is made up of waterways and another 30% is made up of parks and green spaces. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Stockholm

Day 13
Leaving the Swedish Capital we head South down the E4 alongside the Baltic Sea to Norrkoping sitting on the water ways to the Lake Glan and the town with its coloured buildings. The city is situated by the mouth of the river Motala ström, at Bråviken, an inlet of the Baltic Sea. Water power from the Motala ström and the good harbour were factors that facilitated the rapid growth of this once industrial city, known for its textile industry. It has several nicknames such as: “Sweden’s Manchester“, “Peking“. The suggested hotel is set in the town with local cafés and restaurant’s. 5P/M to 9P/M Free time in Norrkoping

Day 14
We continue south taking the local road alongside the Baltic Sea with an overnight stop in Vastervik. Every year there is a folk music festival at the ruins of the Stegeholm castle. The city still bases much of its industry on its harbour, and on the industries that were established as a result of it in the late 19th century. Being a summer town popular with yachtspeople, campers, daytrippers, and returning former residents. Karlskrona area has artistic talent by artists, potters, craft people and painters, with its quaint Swedish style town buildings and surrounding forests and lakes. There are walks and the chance to head to the water’s edge for a stroll before diner. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Karlskrona

Day 15
We are up early catching the ferry boat across the Baltic Sea bound for Sassnitz situated on the north east coast of Germany where we spend the night. This well-known seaside resort and port town is a gateway to the nearby Jasmund National Park with its unique chalk cliffs. Sassnitz is the home of the decommissioned British submarine HMS Otus, purchased by a German entrepreneur and towed to Sassnitz to be a floating museum. The Sassnitz area is most popular for its famous chalk rocks (Kreidefelsen), which inspired artists like Caspar David Friedrich. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Sassnitz

Day 16
The city’s municipal area is about 38 kilometres long and 16 kilometres wide. In terms of area, Bremen is the thirteenth largest city in Germany; and in terms of population the second largest city in northwest Germany after Hamburg and the tenth largest in the whole of Germany making this regional city worthy of a stroll and to trail their beers. 6P/M to 9P/M Free time in Bremen

Day 17
Arriving at this reknowned town of Eindhoven which was involved in the first air raid in World War II was flown by the RAF on 6 December 1942 targeting the Philips factory downtown, even though the attack was carried out on a Sunday by low-flying Mosquito bombers. Large-scale air raids, including the preliminary bombing during Operation Market Garden to aid the US 101st Airborne Division paratroopers in securing the bridges in and around the town on 18 September 1944, destroyed large parts of the city. The reconstruction that followed left very little historical remains and the post-war reconstruction period saw the city change its face. 4P/M to 9P/M Free time in Eindhoven

Day 18
Today is a direct drive through Northern France heading for Calais on the coast then the return under channel train trip back to England. Stopping in Kent at a typical English country Pub before returning you to London/Paris Airport or destination of your choice.
